“What are 10 Ideas to bring energy into your life?”

Hello friends,

We are doing our Wednesday Coaching Tips a bit different today.  We asked three of our Coaches to answer this question:

“What are 10 Ideas to bring energy into your life?”

Read the 30 ideas they list below then add your favorite to make it a magical 31!  Use these ideas to make it a great start to your 4th Quarter of 2024!

From Coach Dorene

1. Listen to an uplifting podcast. My favorites:  Mindset Mentor- when I need a mental boost, Mel Robbins – when I need ideas, and Smartless – when I need a laugh
2. Do a meaningful workout. Especially when I don’t want to. It gives me a boost of accomplishment as well as endorphins.
3. Meet with friends – Blessed to know many people that ground me, uplift me and inspire me
4. Clean or organize something …love that sense of achievement!
5. Plan a vacation or weekend getaway.  Even a short getaway to a fun spot brings new energy to my month.  (An October weekend in Denver is on my horizon!)
6. Set my goals For then next 31 days of course! Get the ithrive31 Goal Sheet here.
7. Walk.  Love the nature trail by my house.
8. Go to the zoo.  There is something about animals that makes me smile and settles my soul.
9. Spread Kindness. Do something nice for someone else (send cookies, write thank you notes, take  someone dinner etc. )
10. Reconnect with an old friend. Send a text, email or card.
From Coach Lauren
11. Donate – give your time, money, or gifts to something you care about. One of my favorites is crocheting hats for NICU babies at University of Iowa hospital
12. Do a social media reset – a simple hack is I like to rearrange my apps on my phone so I can’t “autopilot” navigate to my apps. It’s enough to confuse my brain when I mindlessly go to open Instagram and make me pause to ask “Am I going on here for a reason? Or am I just bored?”
13. Play – do something for the sake of joy and fun! The point is that there IS no point
14. Start your day with affirmations – these are short little mantras that I like to carry throughout my day. Download my free deck of affirmation cards here.
15. Create – add beauty to the world, and feel that sense of accomplishment!
16. Remember “progress over perfection” – 1% progress a day eventually adds up!
17. “Plan the work, then work the plan” – get all your ideas written down so they’re no longer taking up space in your brain. Then create a plan for you to follow for 31 days to bring your ideas to life
18. Eat well, and take your supplements – calories *literally* are a measure of energy. Make sure you’re taking in “good calories”, aka “good energy”
19. Give yourself “flow” time – unplanned time to simply be
20. Sleep – bring energy into your life by getting enough rest
From Coach Miki
21. Notice glimmers: Glimmers are moments of joy that can bring light to even the darkest days. As opposed to triggers, a glimmer can have a positive impact on our mental health and emotional well-being.
22. Find movement: I love my yoga practice and taking walks in nature. On busy days, finding movement can be as simple as standing up and stretching or getting away from my desk for lunch.
23. Get outside: When I’m in need of inspiration or struggling with a problem, getting outside helps to clear my head and come up with an idea or solution to consider!
24. Time blocking: To avoid feeling (and being) overscheduled, I block time on my calendar so I have time to think, get caught up, reconnect with myself, or simply “be present.”
25. Gather together: Spending time with friends and loved ones can be both uplifting and energizing. I especially enjoy expanding my networks by connecting people from different aspects of my life.
26. Enjoy food: Good food is life! It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just some quality ingredients prepared with care is a joy to the tastebuds!
27. Giving: Contribute to something larger than ourselves. It is more blessed to give than receive… truly the giver’s joy.
28. Receiving: It’s also important to be open to help. Let’s not deny our friends and loved ones the honor of being there for us (credit to Simon Sinek for this insight – look up “8 minutes for a friend”)
29. Reading: I enjoy reading and learning, so it’s my go-to activity to relax. I prefer reading an actual book, but the Kindle version works too when I’m on the road!
30. Traveling: I love exploring different countries and cultures! Time away also offers new perspectives and meaningful experiences, both big and small.
What is your favorite way to bring good energy into your life?
