As women in engineering and technology, it can feel overwhelming to even "fit in" at work, let alone trying to drive innovation in a profit-centered workforce. Many well-meaning companies work diligently to recruit more women to these fields, which is wonderful, but often the women who are already in these roles need tools to support them in the present moment. For years I found myself in professional situations where, at best I felt as if I stuck out like a sore thumb, and at worst I felt as if my voice wasn't valued. I thought to myself "There MUST be a better way". I decided to take back my power which set me on a beautiful journey of personal growth.
I now show up as my authentic self, and I have tools for how to feel empowered in situations where I feel as if I do not belong. I've learned to generate influence, and to be protective of where I allocate my energy. Not to mention, I've launched several innovative goods into the market and I've lost track of how many millions of dollars of profit my projects have generated (and I no longer play small about my impact).
